I guess it all depends on how much $$$ you have wrapped up in your turbo 'Stang, and if you are comfortable parting with it to take on (what looks to be) a project of a Cobra replica. Hard to tell from the pic, but I would guess that the owner isn't kidding about it needing "restoration".

-That may be an understatement!

Look at the title: the name of the manufacturer. Finishline, and no doubt other sellers of Cobra replica parts. sells a "manufacturer's serial number plate." The buyer can then fill in the serial number himself. Go to www.csx427sc.citymax.com. There are a lot of photos of original Cobras. Many 2000 and 3000 series cars start of with a photo of the serial number plate. Compare very closely your photo with those on the website. I think all of the serial numbers of the Shelby 2000 and 3000 series cars were etched by hand: not stamped.

Ron,

If you are talking about the inboard inlets for what should be for the brake ducts not being cut open, you are correct ;)

I have to say, that so far, this has been a humorous thread. It's kinda like a pieces of a pirate treasure map...but with no treasure...so far.
