To anyone who has installed or knows the cost of a install kit you need for your engine and trans. A dealer by me said it was around $3k. What does this KIT include????THANKS I think this is also the price to istall motor and trans also.....but not the cost of the trans etc.

why don't you call the dealer and ask them. not all install kits are the same. some have every nut and bolt, hoses and clamps. most kits are dependent on your engine of choice.

$3K to $5K is labor only on a new intall. The install kit specific to the engine/trans you choose is seperate.

Here's a recent breakdown on an SPF that was built and shipped to Egypt.

1 Installation parts (see allatched list) 2423.63 (total install kit for a Roush 427) - Parts only.

1 Installation, PDI, testing & alignment 4910.00

Call dynamic motorsports and talk to shane miller and your question will be answered. Our opinions and information is dated since most of ours are on the road. I think my labor was $2k and install kit including trans, clutch, bellhousing, alignment etc was $4500.

The price typically breaks down something like this

- The roller + car related options $40-50K
- The Engine $8-30K The higher dollar should include carburetor, clutch and bellhousing
- The basic install kit (Includes transmission) $3-5K The higher dollar should include carburetor, clutch and bellhousing.
- Owner options... Blow proof bellhousing, aluminum flywheel, upgraded clutch, upgraded ignition like MSD with revlimiter, polished overflow tank, Accusump, Larger air cleaner etc, etc, etc... $$ depends on upgrades
- Install labor $1500-8000 depending on the shop and extent of special modifications
