Brent-
Your web site gave me much enjoyment as well as great advice from your members. I still have my Cobra and inted to keep it for a long while. I remember logging in to your site while I was at work just to get a "pick me up" whenever the situation dictated.
Best wishes for 2009 to you, your family, and all of those cobra enthusiasts out there.

Meeting folks I first met here online in person has been a great pleasure in every instance. Cobra folks are certainly good people.
Get better soon. Regarding the gall bladder removal - BTDT myself this past summer (had it done laparoscopically) along with fixing some other minor problems. I guess I enjoyed FAR too much of far too many "exciting" food over many years. I have to say I now feel better than I have in years and am sure you will feel the same way soon. Make sure that you take it easy for a while.

I 2nd this. I wish I had not initially given up on the dream and completely dismissed replicas. I would have a Cobra already if that was the case. I am now working towards that goal and hope to join the ranks of the owners soon.

To Brent and Everyone!
We are fortunate to have such an amazing resource. Throughout my life I've had many a pursuit. I don't ever remember finding someplace like this where so many seemingly competing interests "peacefully" coexist. It's great that participation happens regardless of peoples differing opinions. That we have a huge range of suppliers and buyers is truly telling.
Brent, thanks for your dedication! Good luck in the New Year and get well soon.
Cheers,
Len

Brent, Are you sure that's it has already been 10 years? I guess that time flies when we're having fun. I was lucky enough to find CC and to be invloved from the very early stages.
I am sure that my build would have been much more difficult without CC. I obtained lots of help, answers to my questions, and a few parts from CC members. I have also had the pleasure to meet many members at Knotts, The House of Cobras, and DVSF.
Congradulations and get well.
Happy New to all.
Wayne

Brent, get well soon! Thank you for starting this site, it has been a wealth of information. I'll do a search and if I can't find the answer, I'll post the question and in a short time I'll have the the information I need.

Thanks for your efforts
"Fasten your seat belts, it's going to be a bumpy ride" is the way I can sum up the years I have been reading and posting on Club Cobra. Sometimes some issues provoke inflamatory responses! I am always fascinated that it reaches so far, including Europe, NZ,Australia, etc. and it's great they way you can send private messages.
One of the best features of CC is that it is free of an overall public relations "minder" which some other sites on the same subject aren't , thus opinions can be freely tossed in (and sometimes shredded).
As far as historically, it is good to find others willing to share their research. I actually belong to a group that meets once a month in Burbank, CA called BUBBAS where , amateur historians, we throw our questions into the hopper and, if anybody has anything pertaining to the answer, they come back with it. Maybe CC members will continue to develop that (similar to the Atlas F1 Bulletin Board if some of you want to look over there and see how they handle historical questions).
Whatever twists and turns are on the Cobra trail for 2009 I count on Club Cobra to negotiate a path through it all so we all remain fans of the concept of American V8 power in a light responsive package....
Cheers,

Best wishes for a speedy recovery Brent.
Starting the new year out the way you are means that the rest of the year should be a big improvement.
Thanks so much for creating the site. It is the first thing I do in the morning, the last thing I check before hitting the hay at night, and who knows how often during any given day (assuming that we have power). If it had not been for CC we would not have met Jeff, Nick, Dave, all of the Johns, and so many other people of the last couple of years.
Keep up the good work and get well soon.

Stumbling onto this site almost two years ago is what gave me that final little "push" over the edge to take the plunge I waited for over the last 40years to get into the Cobra world. Thanks to Brent, Ron and Jamo for keeping this place a wealth of useful information and interest.
