Manifold Coating and Block Paint Questions

I have an original Sidewinder aluminum intake just back from being media blasted. It looks spectacular, but I know it wouldn't stay that long under the hood. What experience have any of you had with coating the aluminum? I have an Eastwood Diamond clear product I was thinking of trying, made for bare metal up to 350 degrees. Specific experience or product recommendations appreciated.

Also, aside from the rattle can engine paints, is there are preferred brand of paint or epoxy for painting the block?
