Default Pin Drive Rims and Backspacing

So I talked with mickmate (The Contemporary Cobra Guru) and he said I probably need to find rims with 3-3/8" and 4-3/8" backspacing per the Contemporary Build manual. Trigo and Vintage have 2-3/4" and 3-1/2" on their rims and don't have any other "standard" spacing available.

Does anyone have Trigo and Vintage rims on their Contemporary? If you do or did, did you have any problems?

Don't want to go to PS Engineering and get some custom rims, any suggestions?

Call Bob Lacy at Vintage. There are other backspacings available.

I had the back spacing on my Trigos machined. No problems with fitting. The hub area is plenty thick.

Bob Lacy at Vintage will provide excellent service and an excellent price. His wheels are high quality pressure castings, which improves strength and minimizes porosity.

Hey Rick, do you have the manual? I can send it if not. The specs on these may be some help on backspacing. PhotoPost Classifieds - Wheels Compomotive Halibrand style 5 lug bolt on - Powered by PhotoPost Classifieds
Trigo used to make them for CCX's they were the supplier back in the day. Now with lack of demand for CCX wheels they just make the standard wheels. John had his machined as he mentioned which is a possibility or as also mentioned Bob at Vintage has the capabilities of customizing backspacing.

I would have gone with the Vintage but I got smokin deal on the used Trigos. I had talked with Bob Lacy and he was very helpful. If your buying brand new then go with the Vintage. It's a no brainer dollar for dollar . The Trigos are great but you'll have to spend extra $$ to make them fit
