I know that this thread is on TQ but I think the words of the immortal Mark Donohue work here as well: "it will never have enough power until I can spin the wheels at the end of the straightaway in high gear." He said this talking to engineers about the Porche 917-30 which had variable boost to adjust the power from 1100hp to 1500hp. The car only weighed 1871.7 lbs!
