I would normally agree with you but here is where I think this is different:

1) The Supreme Court has given their blessing to these moves by the EPA.

2) Things are going to be implemented "through legislation or regulation"

3) The EPA is an activist agency and is made up of people who aren't elected.

I'll give you an example of who is really running the show... here in Central Florida the EPA is pushing to require people living in the Wekiva River Basin to install Performance Based Treatment Systems to control nitorgen (septic). These things cost $15,000 and the EPA is going to require current homeowners to install them. The State and US Representatives oppose it but it is going to happen anyway. Thank goodness I don't have to deal with that.

Never underestimate the intentions of hippies with power. Apparently they view people living along the river as a pest upon the Earth. :)

How many things have happened recently that you never thought you'd see come to pass?

They would do a rolling 50 year car style/chassis expiry obsolescence deal- before any eco-based deal.

Remember -- the safety girls beat the snot out of eco girls every time at the Pelosi Mud wrestling contests.

"Smoke um if you got em" our days are numbered and it is too late to do a frickin thing about it- sad to so.

It will start when the regestration fees become and 1000/ month and insurance is 10,000 year. When this is all over Feds will own it all and there will not be any taxpayers left standing.
