Safety Wire Twist Tool
Where do you find the safety wire twist tools? None of the Auto places around here have them and only one guy even knew what I meant. I tried a search as I am sure I have seen pictures of them posted and where they got them but didn't find anything.
Thanks,
Ron

I just checked ebay for you, 71 came up. Priced from $5.50 on up. I have the cheaper ones and they work just fine. You can find the wire there also.

You can get one free...
I got mine for free. Peter P. was kind enough to throw it in for free when I bought my ERA.

Habor Freight, Summit Racing. Lots of places have these. Range $6.00 to $80.00 for the real nice reversable ones.

Ron,
Check the motorcycle shops that deal with dirt bikes or dirt bike access. I bought mine for my dirt bike before I had the cobra.
I'm sure there is a shop in Redding.

Thanks guys. I called Harbor Freight here a few days ago and they don't have them. Didn't seem interested in trying to get one either so I tried all of the other local places with no success.
Scott,
We have Harley dealer just a mile or so from my house and I think there is one place in Redding that deals mostly with dirt bikes. I will look in the phone book and if I can find them give them a call. Otherwise I will just order one as I don't have to have it immediately.

Ron, since you don't have to have it immediately, why don't you call up Peter P. and ask him if the " buy an ERA, get a free pair of pliers" deal is still going on. Tell him I sent you....

Patrickt,
I really don't want to spend $40K for a pair of twist pliers. I will most likely order them from one of the listed places as the shop in Motorcycle shop in Redding said they didn't have any in stock. Seems strange as many dirt bikes as there are around here.

You guys have a lot better stores down there than we do here. I walked down to NAPA a day or so ago and they called the ones in Redding and none of them have any. Guess there just isn't enough demand for that type of stuff up here for them to carry much.
