Like Ron said, no grommet on original cars.
Not sure I see the big deal either. I've got no rear grommet and it's not a big issue. I wash my car and I've been caught in torrential downpours and the cockpit getting water soaked is way more of a problem than a little water past the rear bar. I just throw a towel under it in the trunk when I wash the car.

For what it's worth, 3042 never had a rear support grommet. But I saw it did have a Wallace. And many of you won't understand.

Is that the little bra-strap device to keep you from getting whiplash?
EDIT -- Or a reference to Wallace Wyss...

Ned, Is it really a matter of loaf and death to know if S/C's really had a Wallace or a Gromit? I don't think so...

? Ned, It's perfectly clear to me. (Which is somewhat disturbing, isn't it?)
But I promise that in the future I won't not use no double negatives.
P.S. but I stil(ton) didn't say I wouldn't use no quadruple negatives.
I don't care jack about whether you think I am a muenster or a rogue(fort), I just cherishire the questo to bleu some gouda news your whey about the American feta accompli of provoling that no matter what the con queso, as Boursing as that may be to hear, Man and his chego will lorraine to till a mook or two to dig Col (by). I hope this has gotten your goat, and driven you back to your cottage, where you brielong. Gouda riddance to you as I a-go, too.
I think I'll just Croque right here, monsieur.
