Need technical advice about Lokar hand brake handle Mod ??

Guys,I have this Lokar hand brake pulling on a set of supercoupe irs calipers,the hand brake handle once pulled actually pushes on the spring activating the brakes,weird system and I don't like it because it's soo hard to pull and at this stage i'm not even sure it's gonna lock the rear wheels,but it came with the kit. My kit is a DD Cobra,all tubular frame,and my handbrake handle is close from the cross bar (horizontal beam behind it)not like a FFR which is further away. Some guys came up with a mod (clevises and flat brackets and created pivot point) for a FFR and they like it,it's easier to pull.
The question i want to ask is if somebody with a similar frame and rear hand ever did such a mod,i would really like to see pictures of what you did,thanks a lot

Thanks Paul,I have to sit down and see what I can do with that idea.
My handle is on the center console behind shifter,too far back to my taste but the principle is the same i guess,all i want is more leverage,thanks bud
