I agree about how the Creep in cost goes. Also, I have looked and adding in all costs, transport, taxes, install everything.
SPF- with Strips (SPF changing for strips), glove box, CC header/side pipes, 17 " tire/rim upgrade, Sun Visor Assb, SS quick jacks. Total is about 46,500.00 BDR - Tonneau Cover, glovebox, CC headers and pipes, 17" tire/rim upgrade, Visor Assb, SS quick jacks. come standard standard on BDR. Total is about 36000.00. There would be a transport change for the BDR, I'm guessing about 1500.00. So the differerence between the SPF and the BDR is about 9000.00, not including tax. Add in BDR special right now for a Roush 427R or 427SRCW and TKO 600 installed with QT bell housing for 52450.00. Take the same motor and trans install for the SPF and your at 68125.00, that's a difference of almost 16K. The tax savings on the 16K difference is 1240.00. So the total savings including tax is almost 17K So there you have it, both cars set up the way I want. This is in no way trying to start anything with owners of both cars, this is just the financial facts. The question is, is the SPF worth the additional 17K? I should also state that the prices I got were from the SPF dealer and not sure if they have special bundle pricing from time to time or not. It would be great if they did, competition is always welcome:) Craig |

Craig, I don't care which car or what engine you buy, but a $17,000 difference sounds too big to me. I'm not suggesting you buy from Keith Craft, although you may want to talk them, but he has a complete BDR special @ $48,900 and a complete SPF special @ $57,900. I didn't do a side-by-side comparison, but I would think they would be close in specs coming from the same company. Obviously, there are other good dealers (e.g., Jay at Vintage Motorsport) on this website and I would talk to them as well.

What kind of pricing are you seeing for installs? At the time, Stephen's price was very competitive and there was absolutely no add on charges that caused the install price to creep up. |
I know the debates in regards to correctness, resale etc...They are going to be different from person to person, we all know that. What's important to me might not be so important to someone else. But 17K pill is a little hard to swallow, especially if you are not really concerned with correctness. Let's face it, either car you get you are going to be hard pressed to break even on the resale side
I have emailed Jay from Vintage, he is looking into some stuff for me. Great guy. I have not talked to KC about his turnkey deals, but I have read a bunch of stuff regarding them and not sure if he is still involved with it or not. Seemed like a lot of headaches for him and misunderstandings, we will just leave it at that. Craig |

No really, buy my BMW...please. Hey, I'm allowed to fall off the wagon on a rare occasion.
Eh, my point may not have come across. There's a price difference with virtually everything we buy. Look closely at the details. I'm not too familiar with either car, but you may find that the more expensive item has been built with better quality parts. I don't know if that's the case here, because both are fine products, and both are offered by fine dealers, but I almost always subscribe to the theory that you get what you paid for. |

Invest a few minutes, and check with Keith. He is working with a completely different dealer than he was a few years back. Apples and oranges! You won't go wrong with the deal Keith is working now. You could always go directly to the dealer Keith is working with, and talk to him as well. |
Craig,
My two cents....don't buy either one until you drive both. You may not like either, although I think you're going to want to buy the SPF. ;) |

BTW, my BMW has the upgraded 17" M3 wheels AND the sport suspension. ;) |
