Ibr8k4vetts 08-21-2009 08:41 PM

Hang some strips of fly paper from the ceiling just far enough to keep her away from the Cobra...And just watch you head getting in!LOL

gunn427 08-21-2009 08:43 PM

Great minds think alike. I moved to the country, shops mine! Told her I saw a really big rat back there. She has'nt been back since!

lovehamr 08-21-2009 09:06 PM

Lock the phluck'in garage door and don't give her a key. Don't play dumb either, grow a pair and tell her why.

At least that's what I'd have YOU do!

Pack stuff along the back wall of the garage, but sticking out onto the centerline of the garage. Kind of gives each vehicle a "cubbyhole" to call its own. As she learns to fit her vehicle in her cubbyhole, you can lessen the amount of stuff on the Cobra-side cubbyhole.

I'm just taking a wild guess that you're not married...

If he is, his days are numbered.

My wife has a little sports car that I also enjoy from time to time, so I don't mind it being in the garage. I don't blame the ladies for wanting a spot in the garage though. My daily driver is parked outside and it can be a pain in the axx in the winter when it's pouring rain. Wish I had a bigger garage, but it is what it is.

Jerry Clayton 08-21-2009 10:12 PM

in the winter when it's pouring rain????????????
I added 60x24 ft to our 2 1/2 car garage----if shes lucky she gets to park on the drive instead of the street----of course I snow blow the drive if it doesn't look like it'll melt in 4 or 5 days, but if shes in the street---sometimes the snow plow will bury it

Don't you usually just make her snow blow the driveway before she can park?:3DSMILE:

Wow! Quite a few responses. Must be a genetic malady we all must contend with...

The big, cardboard, spray-painted sign actually worked today...

I'll be sure to report back if this actually continues to work.

As we all should know by now, women can't judge distance worth a s--t!

If you give her a bigger space, she will occupy all of it somehow.

One solution, put tape on the garage floor exactly where you want her tires to stop. Then reward her for hitting them.

Good friggin luck. Why do you think every SUV driven by a woman has all four corners dented or scraped?

Glen 08-22-2009 07:32 AM

There's only one was to solve this !
Get rid of the problem it self !
She go's, her car go's, her stuff go's and all the bill's she has go's !
More room and money for you to buy another project.
Worked for me !
Warning: this senario might not work....you might be hung out to dry depending on her lawyer & have nothing left. No money, no house, no garage & most important, NO COBRA

lamaluv 08-22-2009 08:35 AM

I gave up the complaining and built a garage behind my house that is just for my cars. She doesn't get her car near it. I don't have to worry about her car doors any longer:D.

have you tried a "shock collar"? she gets too close and a small beep, a little closer she gets shocked.

Women are smarter than dogs (they say) so it should be quick training

parking

attach a string to a ball. Then hang string ball from ceiling. Park vehicle to desired spot. Adjust the string-ball to contact windwsheild at rearveiw mirror. Ask wife to park by hitting ball as stated above. It should solve problem.

If things got really bad all I would need was a bed and I wouldn't have to go to the house at all.;)

RodKnock 08-22-2009 11:08 AM

Where's the refrigerator full of beer, Diet Coke, and cold cuts?

Speaking for the entire SF Bay Area, where land is scarce and city variances few and far between, we want a garage like that!

DocDirk 08-22-2009 11:23 AM

My Princess.....

I found a way to solve this and many other problems I encountered with my wife, and it works all the time! (29 years and counting:)

I make it my top priority to do and say everything I can to let her know she's the girl of my dreams, share listening time with her, treat her tenderly and lovingly, go some places she loves as well as the ones I like, basically treat her like the princess she is when I do!

She responds by holding my priorities in highest regard....you would think someone stepped on the tail of a cougar if anyone so much as LOOKS like they might touch my cobra haha!!

Regards!

Dirk

Doug,

Steve has the right idea ... I have used the same method using a tennis ball with a drywall screw in part way and tied to a string.

But ... here is the kicker ... as I recall, Cameron is big into astronomy, so ask him which is his favorite planet and hang that in the right spot so as Mom drives into the garage, the Tahoe can 'land' on the planet. Essentially make a game out of it.
