Information- Recent race between Cobra, vette ect. Cobra won ?

What sanctioning bodied magazine sponsored race, did a original Cobra beat all other cars in competition, and several vette owners were pissed about, saying the cobra was a pure race car and theirs were not ? (yeah, right) lol

I believe it was a slalom/road course and was written about in one of the magazines.
