Grand Prix Du Canada 2014

Everyone is gearing up for the race in Montreal. Took a few years off but going to attend the race this year. Always a sweet sadness going to that track named after Gilles who was more or less a mentor of mine. I gave up professional racing in 1982 sometime after his death and another close friend.

Interesting year this has been for Formula One. Surprised nobody started a thread on this series. Mercedes seems unstoppable with Lewis Hamilton & Nico Rosberg taking all wins this year.

Maybe I'll see my old mate Brian from AC/DC. Was surprised to see him as the celebrity to ask questions at the winners podium at the Bahrain Grand Prix. No alcohol there! lol

I have attended this race many times. However, it has been about 10 years since I have been to it. My favorite place to sit was up high in the hairpin. My favorite race was a down pour when Senna would basically not even use the track thru the hairpin. If he wanted he could have gone to a concession stand and had a Blue if he wanted. That had to be the late 80's.

The town itself is such a great place to spend a few days before the weekend and the race is always good. However, I think the Mercedes team will dominate again.

I did see some great drivers and cars thru the years in Montreal.

My brother and I have gone for many years. Best place in getting to the track. Hop a Subway and you're there. Favorite seats, turn one, coming right at you. Great night life.

Hey we were thinking of going this year. Can you guys recommend any good spots with general admission tickets? For a family of 4, grandstand tix are just a bit too much.

My buddy who handles the Caterham sales for me is going........ as the guest of the Caterham F1 team with a garage pass...........sadly I can't make it.

It was a great race as usual in Canada after the Marussia team took out each other in the beginning and caused a yellow. I guess with this high speed track and possible heat a chink was found in the Mercedes armor. very interesting how both Lewis's and Nico's Mercedes lost their K systems. so much talk about the team and this will no doubt add to conspiracies because Nico did finish the race and Lewis had to quit.

One of the best races this season. Vette definitely gave up one of his 9 lives yesterday.
