Event Closed to newbies
Racers,
Looks like all my yacking about driving schools over the past couple of years is paying off. The open track event with the Rochester Shelby club at WGI has sold out the openings it had reserved for beginners.
I guess somebody was listening?
If you were too late for this event try PDA in October.

Cranky,
I'm going to send an email to Joe Quaranto and try and get some of our guys moved up. They are definitely in the wrong classes. If so, then we can free up some space in the novice class.
Any takers?
- Roscoe?
- Steve Klay?
- Ken Walder?

John,
As we speak, my new 3 link rear and 3.73 gears are being installed. And my posi is being rebuilt, as it did not work. So, with all those improvements (plus a carb tune for more power), I'm gonna run the black group and hunt them down like dogs!!!! You guys have showed me the light and I'm now a convert from waxer to racer!!!
Seriously, I plan to run with the white group next weekend at Pocono, as opposed to the green group I was in last time. All I want on my first run out is to be able to follow someone for a couple of laps, so I can get a feel for the course. That should free up a spot for a newbie. I'm running Aug. 10th. I will not be at the October event.

So do you plan on coming Aug 19??? If so I need to know, to see if I can swing this. No promises.
Also, at the Glen, you'll probably have an in car instructor or a lead/follow with an instructor.

You know, John, if I had taken enough time to read the original post carefully enough, I would have realized this was for the Glen. I'm at work, and have to read quickly. No, I will not be at the Glen. I wish I could. Sorry for the mix up. So, don't blame me, I'm not taking up any newbie spots.
