Proves my theory that a large percentage of fans are interested in carnage and the other in barbeque. Ok so there was a wreck, he walked away, so it can't be that bad? Now burning the ribs is really bad! We are waiting for the new CRANKOID SAUSAGE AND PEPPERS RECEIPE! Is this something youse guys did yourself or did MARTHA STEWART assist?

Dan,
Please tell me how do we make you go away, you really are an asshole.
Perhaps the story would be more interesting to you had the driver been more severly injured or even killed.
What a freekin moron you are.

Thank goodness he's alright
I was just checking this out on nascar.com while looking to see where Harvick qualified. I'm so glad he's alright.
Cranky,
Have you ever seen the pictures of Micheal's wreck there. He's sitting on the straightaway, still buckled in his half a car, with his legs sitting on the track. I can't believe both of them walked away. Anyone that make's a joke about this is a little sick.
By the way, I had to give up my free tickets to both races at Bristol this weekend because of Cobra expenses. I probably didn't need to go two years in a row anyways. Enjoy the races, there's nothing like live Bristol. I will be with you in spirit. Gives me chills just thinking about it.

Thank God everyone walked away...including spectators! It is unforgivable that this is the SECOND time that the crash gates have been improperly secured! I think we will see NASCAR hit pretty hard over this one. I would hate to be the guy who was in charge of getting that fence secure, but at least nobody got killed or maimed. Shows a serious lack of commitment on the tracks part.
CRANKY: Well said!

You're a Wee one!!!!
"Ya know......I find moiself gettin' a wee bit peckish whenever Oi'm

"I want my Baby Back, Baby Back, Baby Back.....RIBS!"
...It amazes me that anyone walks away from a crash like that and at the same time scares the hell out of me that people think it can be fun to see it happen. After that crash in the race at the Glen, I think what 'might have been' if the soft wall wasn't there.

Dave,
I do remember the Michael Waltrip crash and until today I thought it was the worst I had ever seen.
I too would not want to be the guy in charge of installing the fence posts. He is probably seeking new employment right now.

Another stunning accident was Reichard Petty when he rolled end over end, flew in the air, wheels started flying off, then the engine came out, body panels flying, etc. etc. There was hardly anything left in place when he stopped. He walked away, go figure! Then Dale E. hits the wall and it looks like a "regular" kind of crash, no big deal and he dies! You just never know how it's going to come out.
