Pictures from mini Nats?
Do any of you have pictures from the NorCal Mini Nats XIX? Post em and let our brethren see how much fun we had. The photos by Digital Images are now available on their site ( http://www.digitimages.com/).
Point it and punch it! Pete

Car # 19
Randy, That guy in the 19 car was a menace! The car was very fast but seemed to struggle in the turns. On two occasions I was on his bumper going into the carrousel and he punched his brakes coming over the rise. I had to lock em up and then he would then drag race me into turn 7. What a pain!
Pete C
PS I think 19 was an original car but the engine was NOT the 289 he advertised on his plates

Randy
Look familiar? There was no chance that I could power by this car on the straights. I finally had to take an inside line and I got by him on the way to #7.
Cheers, Pete

It is nothing but fun!
Randy, Nice shot. To quote that noted Philosopher and former Giants linebacker, Lawrence Taylor (#56), "...we gonna come at em like a pack of WILD dogs!"

Re: #19
Hey Pete,
nice pics. I'm not certain, but I think #19 was Robert Evans from Operations Plus, and if it was him, his car is a Unique Motorcars FIA car. His car looks a bit different now. He would be flattered that you thought it was an original. His car was also a former BF Goodrich poster car that you see hung up in Gary's shop at GT Auto.
I'm 95% done with my car. After seeing you in those pictures, with those mad slicks on there, I aspire to be just like you Pete!
Are you going to the Norcal Shelby meet at Thunderhill this next weekend? I bet you are, and bringing those giant go-Kart tires!
Duane

Good stuff guys. Isn't that why they built Cobras in the first place?

Gents,
Looks like a good time was had by all!!!!
Tell me....is that #19's arm hanging on the door?????
Bob Evans isn't from Ops Plus...that's Bob Shaw and I don't think that's his car.
You guys are lucky...able to race all year round.
*** Open invite if you guys ever make it to the East Coast, you can stay at my place if needed ***

Track time!
Duane and Randy,
I’ll be up there this weekend and I can’t wait! It looked iffy for a while as I just discovered ( oil change) that I had chewed up the top third of a shell lifter! All fixed and all metal removed from the block (thanks to Gary Cook) and I’ll be up there Friday afternoon and on the track Saturday and Sunday. That's right Duane, you gotta get that new ERA out there!
John and Cranky
This is the last club event of the year so other than green flag there will little opportunity to run till February or March. It will give me time to refresh the engine as it is getting tired. The last outing at Sears Point, I found I was making up time and distance in the corners and not the straights. That just ain’t right for a BB! Randy and I will post pictures if the Digital images guys are there and you can get some vicarious track time!!
Cheers, Pete

Just heard that this weekend at breakfast. I am really looking forward to having the coupe at next years MiniNats and getting to T-Hill.
