As good as this video is and as good a driver that Scott is, they're is nothing like doing it yourself. Open track is available to almost everybody posting here. Tracks are running open track events from coast to coast.
Get yourself a helmet and bolt down your video camera in your Cobra and make your own tape.

I second everything Roger said. Not only will you learn something about your car but you will also learn a lot about yourself.

Great fun and very little risk to yourself or your car.

Roger/Clois,
That is wonderful advice, and I do fully intend to spend a lot of quality time at the track. My problem is that my car is not yet complete and will not be until the end of summer. In the interum, I was hoping to enjoy someone elses track time.

Chris;

Everything Clois and Roger said is true,absolutley the most fun you'll have with your pants ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One thing I might add, most road course tracks have some sort of "driving schools/instructions", I would advise this also.........

This spring I went to a 2 day driving school put on by the Porchse Club of America, learned a lot,had as much track time as I wanted, (about 100 to 120 laps,1.8 mile 14 turn course),for under 300 bucks and they fed us diner both days and supper one night..........Instructor rode with me the whole time with in-helmet communications, I learned a lot about braking and adjusting your line to the track conditions,we drove the second morning in the rain,reallllllll fun,reallllll hairy sometimes,especially when he told me to "pick up the pace"...............

Safe way to learn about your car and your ability.........I would recommend a driving school/course to any beginner............money well spent............
