Cobras at Watkins Glen

The Rochester Shelby Club/Phoenix CMR invites all Cobras, real or replica and Mustangs to partisipate in their annual Open track Event, August 23,24 at Watkins Glen International road course in upstate NY.This event has been run for 15+ years and it is one of the finest Open Track/drivers school events held at the famous road course. Beginners as well as advanced students and Open tracker are all welcome.If you have run the homemade circle track road courses and want to give the real thing a try this is a great opportunity.
If you have never taken your Cobra on the track and want to see what it will really do in a safe environment this is for you. Lots of experienced Cobra open trackers to give instruction to make sure you bring your "baby" home safe and sound.

I was going to go to RA this year, but already have 2 long trips to make from NJ to Gingerman in MI....

hopefully next year I'll make RA!

We have a new event at WGI that offers so much track time that it is difficult to get excited about towing two days to Elkhart Lake for an event that is probably a full house.
As much as we all want to experience the long straights at RA, I'm afraid we are gonna pass again.

Apex Performance Driving gives us five one hour sessions per day for the Open Trackers and five 1/2 hr sessions for the students.

We have August 3,4 with Apex and August 23,24 with Rochester Shelby Club so we are pretty much booked for that month.

Some day wer'e gonna make Elkhart Lake.
