You can get much better tires in 17". The list of good tires in 15" dia is very short.

So far, I haven't been able to find anything in the widths normally used for a cobra with a speed rating higher than 118 mph (TR) in 15". Plenty high enough for street but might not be enough for track or racing applications. It was also noted in another forum that, all other things being equal, the 17" with their lower profile should handle better.

Don't forget 16". You can get Hoosier slicks in 16, I use 25x12x16's and 25x13x16's on my Cobra. They barely fit though. There are racing tires available in 15" sizes, Goodyear has several sizes and compounds. There are alot of radial racing tires in 17 including R compound DOT tires.

Here's some ideas:http://www.rogerkraustires.com/gyCobra.html

Are you looking for street tires or track tires? Hoosier makes a good DOT legal TD in size 15. Good tire. Sticks hard, but not the best for the street. You can also get gooyear Eagle stock car slicks for pretty cheap. These obviously are no good for the street. Roger Kraus racing carries a big selection of Cobra tires. I see Mike has posted the link above.

I went to 17 inch. The size options were just too good. I chose the BFG KDWs. A lot of tire and there are even better available now. An old saying that I'm fond of. Tires and helmets what's it worth?
