Track tire sizing

Ok - sevaral of you have given me some great tire Brand choices, now here is my next questions. I am running 245s on the front and 315s on the rear - both 17". Should I stay with those sizes or go with something more equal in width? Maybe it does not make any difference. I am not sure I can go any wider on front without rubbing, but I could certainly drop down in width on rear.

Get as much rubber on the ground as you can. My new Gt runs 315 on the rear and 225 on the front and I may need to go to 205's. You should be fine.

The original 427 Cobra ran on........ 8.15 X 15s. Id say keep what you have and spend the xtra money on lessons and track time. Not being a smart ass, Im in the same boat!
