Don't take this the wrong way, but the original foot boxes were fiberglass. Why not just do the inner fenders and firewall in aluminum like the originals and call it good?

Don't take this the wrong way but, If he just did the inner fender well would that make it original. Lets face it, only the csx cars are original, the rest is a expression of our own dream cars, replicas. I think its pretty cool.

Paint the foot boxes white, apply the aluminum overlay for optional asthetics, and call it a day.

I think it looks great. What are you going to cover the edges with? I am doingthe same type of aluminum panels on my Shell Valley.

That's how I Leave it adds some color to the look and there's nothing to cut your self on. Plus these boxes are not flat and almost impossible to do a over lap I tried it was a mess almost had to make new foot boxes and have it float over the old ones.

Default Aluminum plates

Eddy:

How do I buy these from you for my AC kit? I want to have the heat protection and look that your panels provide.

How are these attached to the fiberglass body? Also, are these cut with a saw or waterjet?

Thanks,

JP

Let me tell you how much I would like to be able to sell this set up but with the way these cars are made and put together there is a ton of fitting that needs to be done to each panel. Each one of the cars I do are different and I bet I spend a full day fitting them. All the panels are two sided taped in but the engine compartment has to be body worked and painted for this to work because the foot boxes are so far from flat, the nose is riveted in place. Again I wish I could hook you up with these or any one of the custom parts I make but I would have to have the car or what I would send you would not fit like what you see.
