roll out with doors on
Been working away. Just got the doors on. I haven't done the handles yet. Just doing a little at time. Those double flare brake lines where tough. :mad:

Hey let me tell you I loved every minute of my ac auto cobra build and yours is lookin awsome to, great job . It all pays off in the end. Looks like ZAT blue to be I love that color. TIP go to Harbor Freight and get yourself a box of body shims for like $6 they come in realy handy with the doors and front wheel allighnment. Awsome pictures!

Funny the first door took 45 minutes and the second about 2 days! :LOL: I had the hinge upside down on the second door and couldn't see it. Oh well I have a question. Have you set up you dash to be able to remove it without removing the steering column? Or do you have to slide the column back every time you need to get back there? Just thinking ahead on wiring the instrument panel and ignition switches. Ron |

I always find it funny that as soon as you get it back from the paint shop its a car!!! And then it does'nt take to long to finish from there.good luck it looks really great!!:):D

Great Job!! I was noticing your hole for your shifter. Mine started out about that size and I eventually found the hole was limiting me going into 2nd and 4th gears all the way.
It won't be long now until you have everything together and your cruising around getting high fives. Clois |

You copy cat, you stole my wheels, great choice bye the way. How about the spinners! My first door like Roscoe was quick and the second was forever. I actually thought about a hammer! Cut the center support bar in half! Great color bye the way. Keep up the great job. Gotta love it! Are you having fun? If not take a break for a couple of days. Then get back at it! Cut the cowl bar in half:LOL::LOL: didn't get that bad but I did grind a little metal off the hinge bracket before I realize I was upside down. :) I know it needs those spinners. Anybody get theirs from the ebay dealer out west seems like a good price $100.

Not bad and it closes nicely.:) Instead of using a muffle type clamp for the steering wheel bracket on the cowl frame. I can't see how to tighten after the dash is mounted. I might use threaded rod with the brackets from the muffler clamps. This way I can loosedn the steering coulmn from under the dash. I try to take some pictures. Thanks for the comments. |
I used an Ididit non-tilt column. I used their Gimbel mount on the firewall and made a sleeve mount that bolts on the top of the footbox. I did not use any of the A&C hardware on the cowling.
