This is my first post. I have decided to go with the Antique & Collectibles
cobra kit for my first cobra build, after doing alot of research. I have also
spent alot of time viewing the great forums here.
My question is how many of you guys went with the rolling chassis? and is
it worth the extra money?

I went with the rolling chassis. Saved me time and money. I did install my own fuel line (braided) and stainless brake lines. Get the adjustable uppers also.

Great choice, I went with the roller as well.
Before you make your final decision.
Check with Pete Clark at www.fasttimesrods.com or call him at 716-366-1806.
Pete was the fabricator at A & C when Roscoe's and my rollers were done.
Pete gets the bodies from A & C and does the frames and supplies most of the other stuff you will need. He can build you the roller and put a finish on the frame. Check out his wesite.

I built mine myself, didn't take long...the hardest part was bending brake lines and I got that done within a hour.

This has to be one of the easiest building kit cars there is.I have the gel coat body! :) I been watch my friend build a FF Daytona this is nothing compared to what they "FF" guys have to do. My hat goes off to those who are working on them.
To make this car a roller is easy.

The front end just about snaps together. Just get the strut rods from A&C.
I bought the larger 11" Mustang 2 brakes off eBay.

The rear brakes can be tricky. Just do a little research on Explorer rear disc Or SVO brakes. The hardest thing is get the emergency drum pads in place.

The brake lines are tricky. But with the body off you can get a lot done. I was going to flare my own. I ended up going to Napa and get them in different lengths this was goof proof. NO LEAKS.

The most difficult part of the whole build was the brake/clutch box. I ended up mating a corvette manual cylinder and a wilwood 1" master for the clutch. That is not part of the roller.
Congratulation. Don’t hesitate to ask questions. You be surprise how fast you will get a answer.

This is a fun kit to build, and dont hesitate to call Joe with any questions. The instruction manuel is quite vague

Thanks for all your input. I think I will build it myself instead of going with rolloing chassis.

Don't miss out on any part of the car do it all yourself, it is so gratifing in the end when you mash the pedal.congrats and good luck! Warning: You must go big block ! Hahahaha i love it yehhhhhhhhh

So easy to build, it was almost to easy. I finished and now I'm waiting on the body.
