woman at grocery store said she would do anything for a ride...

I took my FFR (Levy Racing stage 2 with 3 stage matador red paint) to the grocery store last night with my 3 year old (he was in a booster seat). I got my groceries and came out to the car and an attractive woman was standing there looking at it. She said, "that is your car!!!!" and told me how beautiful it was and then she took a hard look at me and said that she would do anything for a ride. Being the quick thinker I am, I cracked a joke "you mean like babysitting my 3 year old" pointing to him trying to push a shopping cart into the side of the car and she said it wasn't what she was talking about...

Then a family saw the car and a 10 year old boy came over with a picture of a Cobra from his scrap book and asked me to autograph it. The woman looked disappointed and left.

I told my wife about it and she freaked and demanded that I sell the car. I told her, all innocent, what was the problem? I almost got free babysitting!

So you want a ride

All I could say is NRNR:D

Reminds me of the old joke.

A guy is waiting for a bus when a lady of the evening slides up close and says in a low voice, "For a hundred bucks, I'll do anything you want." Without hesitation, the man says, "OK, paint my house."

kind of off topic, but what does the booster seat look like. I have a three year old also. Is it a regular car seat? I wonder if it will work with 5 point harnesses?

My wife would have freaked out if I let me 3 year old ride in my Cobra in a booster seat. That is off limits for her and a condition of my buying the car in the first place.%/

Dang Doug, I thought you were going to come back with something quippy like "you should have asked her if she would write the manual for the CSX cars." :p

That is my 2½ old, going for a ride in a booster seat

My daughter in a child's seat in my SPF. I attached the child's seat using the lap belt. I'm not sure if she wanted to go for a ride not...

Randy,

That is the same way I strap in my grandchildren. Everything is cool as long as we are not on busy streets and just going to the Quik Trip or something close.

Oh, I have assured my wife that I could make this work "safely" and that his booster seat is designed for lap belts but she suggested that I not pursue that line of conversation any longer as it wasn't going to happen.

In reality, it's not a heck of a lot safer than taking your 3yr old for a ride on the back of a Harley (assuming you could somehow attach a car seat....) %/

I'll wait a while. I'm just happy to have the car.

What grocery store did this happen at? I may want to start grocery shopping there.

Dan, you pervert!

Ralphy 11-13-2009 03:32 PM

Wow,
The subject starts with a pickup line. Now I'm looking at picures of children in booster seats! I guess there's some pretty stand up people here.

Yeah, but shopping at an "Adult Toy Store" for a Blow-Up Doll won't hack it!

If all you want to do is swap bucks for bangs, start trolling.

Karl Bebout 11-13-2009 06:46 PM

Ralphie, Bob B. would disagree with you about pneumatic items. He is well experienced and should be considered an expert. Imagine...Bob calling Dan a pervert...
