still have mine, 40 years old this year. i don't wear it because i want to keep it around, still looks relatively new.

At the end of my first time around i had to turn in my field jacket at the end of second hitch i gave it over to airmens attic , this were you can turn in old but useable unaforms so that young airmen can get for free unaforms thy need at that time i thought was a good thing to do, but i do wish i had kept my field jacket.

I was 25 when I got drafted - 3 years was enough for me. Before I got out
I went to property disposal and bought a decent field jacket for $3 and turned
it in and kept mine - heck it had my patches on it so I thought I'd keep it.:LOL:
