Question

3 questions:
  1. Where are Arizona club events & cruises posted?
  2. What officially constitutes "membership"?
  3. Are sports cars other than Cobras and participants other than "members" permitted to participate in club outings?

Answers:

1. Here
2. Membership is officially confirmed when......??? THat's a good question. Mikie, what does officially constitute membership? Being a member?
3. Everyone is welcome, even Mustangs and the occassional Hedgehog, chevette, or oldsmobile.

At least that is my interpretation. MikieC has an email list by which he notifies participants of major events, but most events are just pulled together from this forum.

Which brings me to another point. Mikie, Your email addresss on THE OTHER SITE is still your old one. Mr. Pink should change that in case someone important, like President Obama or the Vice President what's his name, tries to reach you....

Dale, you might also check out AZCOBRAS.com

And...check out www.crusinarizona.com for a state wide listing of car shows and events.

Dan,

I'll get with Pink to make the change.

RatBoy.. As has been stated here and other places... You are the official, perpetual ROOKIE.

Dale,

To Officially belong to AZ Cobras you must email me to be added to the list, and you must have a Cobra. If your cobra is sold or totaled after you are added to the list, you are still a member until you ask to be removed from the list. From what I have been told there is only one individual that cannot ask to be removed from the list. Heck that person is not even on the list.

We do allow lookie Loos and droolers to accompany us.

Dale,
As mentioned already send mikiec (here on CC) your info to get on the email list of Club Events. The understanding of a few points makes you welcome to all events and it only gets better from there. Mikie...... the weather god and part time direction finder can fill you in on the membership stuff later.

Here are the few I remember hearing, reading or things somebody said

You will be issued a rookie spoon to play in the sand box, some need a shovel

Dues: We got no stinkin dues !

Attendance requirements: If you show up great! If you don't show up that is great too!

Color tests: all members will be given a color test with results turned in to Dan and Dan (see below) NOTE.. ignore the swearing and mutterings of it's Rangoon red or it's blue

More to be added later by other senior members (rookies comments not included)

Karl Bebout 01-17-2010 04:11 PM

Danr Danr, Jeff and I both know that you'd much rather play it safe and not have too much power, so you stick with your FoMoCo engines.

dave from mesa 01-17-2010 04:16 PM

Jeff
Is that some kind of Toy-oder motor? :3DSMILE:

vettestr 01-17-2010 04:18 PM

So are there any more items to add to THE LIST ?

DanR, Have you gotten all the vibration bugs worked out? You told me about the rear needing shims, did that fix her for ya?

Karlos, Is the beast getting close? What is your target date?

Dave what you asking?? "is it a Toy engine" well heck yes. Do you want to play?

Danr55 01-17-2010 07:57 PM

Jeff, THe shake is gone. The shims for the rear end were to preload the rear hubs correctly. That is taken care of and the car pretty much purrs.. Got a couple more things I want to take care of then it will be complete.

Karl Bebout 01-17-2010 08:42 PM

Danr, it will never be "complete". There's alwaysw something.

Dale 01-17-2010 11:25 PM

Thanks to all for the info.

Aargh! Beware what cha say now, matie. The Cap'n an 'is first mate don't like tricksters, rats, er tart tongued rookie scabs. Ya keep swabbin' 'em decks yerself fer now.

Danr55 01-18-2010 05:09 AM

Karl, You're probably right, but I like to appear the perpetual optimist.

Scotty, Ratman? Is that Batman's evil cousin or something? No graduating for this guy. He is the Rookie in perpetuity. (For some of the east bumscrew crew that means for a long time.)

Karl Bebout 01-18-2010 06:31 AM

Jeff, target date: 2010.
