Hey Cobra guys..

ONe of our favorite Canuckians, Mr. George Roberts, is actively supporting a car show to help homeless high school kids. (I offered to help the girl cheerleaders, but that wasn't necessary as George has that well in hand) Really though, George asked me how to get everyone stirred up to support this effort. I said I didn't know but offering free beer and food would help. (He's thinking about that) Anyway, George is asking for our support for this effort. Since it won't cost any $$, I figured it would be OK to ask everyone to at least stop by for a while. Here's the info. Talk to George about the beer and the chow.

Besides me, is anyone planning on showing up for this show? Maybe we can do something afterwards.

vettestr 02-01-2010 08:35 AM

I would like to go and might be able to attend for a while. I have my daughters B-day get together but nailing down a time has not been successful. Maybe?

Bob Broberg SPF667 460BB 02-01-2010 08:36 AM

I'll be glad to help. Can't carry very much in the cobra, but not working that Saturday. Weather permitting. I'll make a Goodwill run and see if I can find some stuff.

George, would you please post a flyer for the event? I'll also need the organization's 401C3 tax number for donations requests.

I will probably be there sans Judy. Still a little early to know.
Jeeze Bob it's $5 worth of food. Are you that hard up for a deduction?

Bob Broberg SPF667 460BB 02-01-2010 09:53 PM

I was going to hit up Walgreens at the Region Level.

I tried to get a number from them, but they say the school is tax exempt  ....they were to check further if they can find the number you requested.....can you get by without it? :)

Thanks in advance

Had a great time at the car show. Met some new ppl and got to see old friends.
Thanks Posi (aka George) for setting this up.
Going home was a diff story. About 10 miles down the road the car just quit. A little hairy trying to get from the left lane to the exit.
Thanks Mike B and Karl for rescuing me.
