Default Drive time to Lake Havasu City

How long does it take to drive from Phoenix to Lake Havasu City? We found a good deal on a Mazda for my daughter up there. Google maps says it's a 4 hour ride. Does that sound about right? Has anybody done the drive recently? We're trying to determine if the deal is good enough to justify the ride. 2.5 - 3 hours would be much nicer...

Thanks.

If you take the Victoria Rd. turnoff, it saves about 1/2 hour. Probably a three hour drive from Mesa.

Hey Dan - where's the Victoria Rd turnoff? I couldn't find it on the map. The best route I could see is to take the 10 to Quartzite and then go north on 95. Another option is to come in from the north off 40 but that's longer.

I have made it in 3 1/2 form Phoenix assuming you drive 80 most all the way. If you stick to the speed limit(not that anyone on this forum does) expect closer to 4 hours.
