Next Run Same as the last run 3/7

Seems like a bunch of folks like March 7 for our postponed run to Punkin Center. Does that work for the West Side Crew? It works for the Best Side crew pretty well.

Even China says he want's to go..

Mikie, whatdayathink?

mikiec 02-26-2010 01:25 PM

I prefer the Saturday the 6th. By doing runs on Sundays we now look like our Tucson gang. :):)

Ron, do you mean, "...where in the @#@$^% is punkin cnter?"

If that's what you mean, it's south of Payson on 188.

March 6 is okay by me. I can think of a couple ways of celebrating the 6 march date. okay, 6 mar 68 at oakland, ca induction center into the U.S.A.F.
Just a short 42 years ago. What happened!!!

csx4910 02-26-2010 04:21 PM

Sorry Redsnake yes I meant "where" I still type by the hunt and peck method and frequently forget to spell check

Danr55 02-26-2010 04:37 PM

Punkin Center is on the north west side of Roosevelt Lake about 1/3 of the way from Jakes Corner to Globe-Miami. It's a quaint little village full of strange folk who like living away from the crazies.. like us who go zooming around in fast cars with loud pipes and leaving black marks all over the road.
Saturday or Sunday makes no difference to me. What ever the majority want to do. Maybe we can all go both days so everyone wins?

Skully 02-26-2010 10:10 PM

I guess the older we get the harder it is to make up what minds we have left. I am retired and every day is Saturday or Sunday, makes no difference to us.

This is where the original movie "Halloween was filmed. Remember in the scene in the first movie there is a big picture of jacko-lantern. Well this is the place. You just can't drive through there after dark. Mikey will get you!%/

RedSnake351 02-27-2010 09:16 AM

I'm with Skully, the 6th or the 7th, it makes no difference to me. In fact the 8th, 9th, 10th or 11th are ok also! :D
Just do it before mid-April when I have to go back to Illinois. Oh heck, I don't HAVE to go back then either.

ah, . . . Sunday.

Danr55 02-28-2010 06:41 AM

OK, we have one Sunday and two Saturdays and a bunch of I don't cares. We need some definitive decision making here. Is there anyone who wants to go who can't go on either Saturday or Sunday? Rather than worrying about Mikie looking like John, is there a good reason not to go on Sunday?

Gary, I guess you haven't gotten the news. The '60s never happened. It was all a bad dream caused by excessive consumption of greasy, spicey food. You never did any of that stuff. That's why you keep asking "What happened?"

Gary Stubbs 02-28-2010 07:34 AM

That splains it then. I understand tie dyed anything is popular now. Where did i put the disneyland black light poster?
Either sat or sun okay by us.

My vote is on Sunday, got obligations on Saturday(work) So I need my Cobra ride fix.

Robert McLinden 02-28-2010 09:50 AM

Like I said in the other thread, I vote for Sunday. Antigue airplanes are in Casa Grande on Friday and Saturday. Real airplanes (two wings and round motors) trump cars anytime.

Skully 02-28-2010 10:05 AM

How about a Saturday but Sunday is still an option, Saturday works for Sally and I , golf at the country club on Sunday. I only have two vices in life autos and golf. RETIREMENT has its options.

The current forecast calls for rain again on Sunday; 4th weekend out of the past 5 that we'll get rain. Grrrr.

That sounds exactly what we had in Chicago last summer. After trailering my Cobra back 1800 miles to Illinois, I think I may have gotten 300 seat miles in the Midwest, before putting her back on the trailer for the 1800 mile return to Arizona.!

It will not rain this weekend. I have spoken to the person in charge.

AZ Bob

Danr55 03-02-2010 05:21 AM

Thanks Bob. I didn't know that Ginny was entertaining visitors this week.

She is still "IN CHARGE" isn't she?
