Car Show in Maricopa March 28th
2 Attachment(s)
Hey Guy's.
Because of the confussion of dates I want to remind everyone about the car show at the Raceway Bar & Grill on the 28th of March. Please open the attachment and look it over. Let me know if you will be able to make it out. There are several classes to enter and a lot of fun to be had. I am also attaching an entry form if you decide to pre-enter or at least have it when you arrive. Looking forward to seeing you there. Lonestar #024 Tom |
OK, I will bring this thread back up, just in case some of you would like to join Tom (Lonestar #24) and me at the 2nd Annual Car and Bike Show.
I know most of you don't like to pay $15 to show your car, but the Maricopa Food Bank would greatly benefit from part of your donation. The show starts a 9 am Sunday and t-shirts and trophies will be awarded. If you don't want to enter the show and just come on down for a visit, I will buy you the first beer at the Raceway Bar.:3DSMILE: And I bet Tom would match that offer! Ralph :MECOOL: |
Thanks Ralph
I hate to beg but this event is for a "good cause". It has been a lot of fun in the past, and, they have included a lot more things this year. Like Ralph say's, even if you don't show you're car come out anyway and join in the fun. Have some food, drink a couple of beers, And yes I will match Ralphs offer. He will buy the first, I will buy the second. There you go, you already have 2 beers and it didn't cost a thing. Come on out, do some "burn outs" show off a little, have some fun. What more could you ask for. Lonestar #024 Tom |
Is there a place to meet and all go there together on Sunday.
|
Well Skully
Right now you are the only one showing interest. Ralph & I already live out here so it's not much of a drive for us. But if you really want I will come into town and show you the way out her so you wont get lonely, or give you directions. what ever it takes to get some interest. Thanks |
Where's it at guys
|
Well, now we know who has not been to Maricopa yet.
|
Here's directions for those interested parties.
Head east on I-10 toward Tucson and exit the Queen Creek Rd exit. Turn right and follow the road. This road turns into HWY 347. You will travel @ 19 miles going through the town of Maricopa staying on this road. (There are several signs that say RACEWAY BAR & GRILL with arrows pointing the way). Outside of Maricopa @ 2 miles you will see Harrahs Casino. You will travel past the casino @ 2 miles & turn on the first right hand turn that is paved. This road is called Papago Rd. At this time you will be saying to yourself "I'm lost and theres nothing out here". Follow this road west @ 2.5 miles and you will come to a small shopping strip on your left and will see a sign that says RACEWAY BAR & GRILL turn in and there you are.:LOL: When you get here, get out of your car and go to the beer girl (my next door neighbor Lisa), and get an ice cold beer of your choice. Lisa is married but be nice to her anyway.:LOL: See you then. Lonestar #024 Tom |
Dan
Are you going to come out and have some fun with us? |
So it's out near Gordon's place. The new timbucktoo as I refer to it. The area, not Gordon's. I'll try and make it. Skully, if I go, I'll bring the wood steering wheel.
|
No, I'll be camping with my grandson. I've promised and I always deliver on a promise.

Ralph, who never forgot his grandpa! |
Is pre-registration necessary or can I register there on Sunday ?
|
John
You can register there, or preregister. That's up to you. If you want to look at the flyer I posted it says "free T shirt to the first 25 registered". So if you need a new shirt, then you should preregister. Looking forward to seeing you. Lonestar #024 |
Ralphie, and guns and hunting.
|
Ralphie, when you coming home? I'll buy you a beer! Bring the heat while you are at it.
|
I would like to extend a big Thank You to John & Sally, who drove in from Buckeye, Scott from Paridise Valley, John from Tucson, & of course Ralph can not be forgotten. These folks really went all out to support the Maricopa Food Bank, & Raceway Bar & Grill Car Show on sunday. We all enjoyed your company and it was nice to have more than 2 Cobras present.
Congrats to John & Sally who took home one of the trophies, I hope it was worth hanging out for. For those of you who didn't, or couldn't make it out, you missed a good time. There were some pretty unique creations on wheels. This event is an annual event so maybe next year more folks will be able to make it out. At least that way Ralph won't have to try and drink all the beer in the bar by himself. Thanks again, Lonestar #024 Tom |
