Talking She"s Here ! .... My Rfgt40 !!!!

I just got home from Phoenix airport . After a short loading
time I was on my way home. I could hardly contain myself !
This is better than Christmas!! It took me about twenty minutes to get home. Everything so far looks like it made the trip OK.
Here are some pictures I took at the airport. Just click next in the top left to see all the pictures when you go to the site.

Talking

Hey Mikie,
Wait til you see this stuff ! I can't believe how complete it is. I got stuff here I didn't even know was with the kit! Like one thing for instance....A high torque starter.altenator, Serpintine pullys and belt. and all the brackets !!!!
All these boxes are like presents on after the other!! Hey !.now this is cool, I found this one little bag and it's got a CNC aluminium cover with the GT40 logo on it and it fits the back of the trans... Then there is this other box that's labeled Windshield washer kit. I could go on and on. Once you see all the parts layed out like this then you can understand why this kit costs what it does.
I'm going back out there in awhile and start opening more stuff.

Ain't life great!!!!

Thumbs up

Hershal!

Congratulations! Spent some time on the phone today with Gordon Levy...am having strange fantasies about GT40's and home mortgage refinancings...he's a great guy, it's easy to see why he consistently gets the thumbs' up from folks.

Best of luck on your build, who knows, you may have some more company soon.

TT

Thumbs up

Thanks Tom,
I'm hoping you can work out something so you can enjoy the thrills that I am with this kit.
Gordon is a straight up guy. His main goal is to try and make all his customers happy. When you're the only custom shop that gives a 12 month warranty on his cars, that say a lot about the man! His engines are probably some of the best around.

Congratulations! Herschel! Are you handing out cigars? Wish I could come and watch you work, but must work this weekend. I'll have to wait for rerun.
Latest Road and Track showed drawing of potential Ford produced GT40 in about 2005? with mid-engine V-12. You should be done by then.

Congrats,
I am planning on being at the "opening ceremony" on Saturday with my camera in hand. I need directions or Does anyone have an open passangers seat that I could catch a lift with?

Default Wow!

Hersal,

Man, that is one beautiful looking car, even if it is still in a box (or a few hundred). Sorry I can't make it tomorrow but bring pics up next Friday.

As soon as I see yours I'm thinking I will know what my next car is going to be. Air Conditioning too.

Way to go.

Jeff

Where does a guy get information on the RF GT40-- How does it compare to the ERA GT40??

I am kind of an ERA guy-- although the 2 year + wait does not thrill me--

Jim,

Gordon Levy is now a distributor for RF. The manufacturer's home page is:

http://www.roaringforties.com.au/

and a good overall site is:

http://home.nc.rr.com/rlearp/links.html

Good luck.

Ben
