Default 4 July

What's the plan for travelling to Heber? Are we going up as a group or individually? I think the parade is on Saturday 3 July. Is there a gathering at Pink's Friday nite? Saturday Morning? Do we need an alternate plan?

MikieC, talk to us, please....

OK, here's the skinny....

Mr. Pinks on Friday night. Mr.Pinks on Sat AM to dress up the cars.

Caravan up meet at the Shell station on Shea and Beeline. Time? Depends on whether or not you want to avoid the heat.

Ginny and I will be leaving after she gets off of work about 3:30Pm.

Mike

Cool!!

I can already feel the cool breeze of Northern Arizona.

Don't know what time I am leaving. Probably early.

I plan on being off work on Friday and leaving for the northland around 7:30AM before it gets hot. Anyone else who wants to go up early, drop a note and let's join up.

I'd like to leave early but we probably can't check in until 1pm. I guess we could stop for food along the way. Count me in Dan.

If you're going to go on this one, you need to contact MikieC to get the info on the motel in Heber. I don't know if there are any rooms left at this late date. Basically, we go to Heber on Friday. Party Friday nite. Have breakfast and decorate cars on Saturday morning. Run in the 4th of July parade in Heber. Have lunch. Take a nap. Eat Pizza and watch fireworks Saturday nite. Have breakfast on Sunday and then go our own way. It's a hoot.. You'll need to find a place to stay somewhere in the neighborhood. I'm sure Mikie will read this and comment. I am looking forward to seeing that beautiful blue Cobra again.

I will have to see about the accommodations, looks like there are rooms to be had in Show Low, but that's about 40 minutes away. What time is the parade? You said party Fri. night....parade.....lunch Sat. In my world it would be party Fri. night....sleep....sleep some more....wake up after lunch!!!! I guess I will wait and see what's up with lodging, but it would be great to be able to make it.

We have some rooms left at the Saw Mill Inn. I have to call the hotel asap with the final count of how many rooms we need so that we can release the ones we don't need. They will fill them right up.

The rooms are $98 per night, for two nights. If you want one of the available rooms send MikieC an IM.

I have a room by myself. I would be glad to share to bring cost down. There is so much going on you don't spend much time in the room except to sleep. Wife never comes because of previous bouts with skin cancer.
Here come the responses from the peanut gallery.

Now I begining to worry Bob, remind me never to share a room with you even though you is a fine upstandin gent, sharin rooms with a guy just ain't on my agenda and is definately not my thing.

In Thailand they have some fine lookin "ahem" ladies that you would die for when you is juiced and six sheets into da wind up until you find out they got a whatsit between their legs and then its very embarrasing and you kick their ass big time fo wastin yo time and money and then kick em outa the room. Bob, you do not qualify you is definately a gent.

BTW I an very sorry to hear about your wife, I have been there as well with my wife several years back with breast cancer that is now in remission. Hopefully we all get to live long lives. tin-man

Did I disturb you?

Sorry, but I think Tinman's behavior is more disturbing.

Car Nut, not me, my buddy, he did not see the adams apple. Now that's from the voice of experience so never got into that sort of situation, even when juiced. tin-man

I appreciate it Bob....but will most likely have my GF in tow. She's not into cars at all, however, me alone with partying involved....not gonna happen!

Uh, does that sound like something to shoot at? You have to be very careful around this crew. Little, if anything is sacred and you're liable to get shot at for an innocent remark. Bob on the other hand gets shot at all the time. Innocent or not. After Laughlin two years ago, it's not wonder he has a room by himself...
