City of Tucson tax 1 year later!!!!!!
Ok check this out. I purchased a BackDraft cobra from a dealer in Texas about a year ago. I had it registered and payed the state tax on the sale of the vehicle. Just yesterday (almost a year ago) I received a letter from City of Tucson stating that I owe 2% city tax on the vehicle.  I was told at the time I registered I only needed to pay 6.6% state tax on the sale of the vehicle and now the city hits me with a 2% sales tax almost 1 years later. Has anyone ever had this problem? Talking about things coming back to haunt you, this sure was a surprise.. |
