Car fine, alternator bad
Chopper, thanks for hanging around and pulling the jumper cables out.
My friend stopped over with cables and a VOM, we charged it up, fired it up and found that I was getting no charge from the alternator / regulator side. A quick run to his house and we tested the circuit and found no charge coming from the alternator but a good regulator.
Pulled it yesterday and the tip as told to me is Copperstate Alternator. Will call them later this morning when they open.
Sorry I missed breakfast. Still working the bugs out. Should trade out my in-dash ammeter for a voltmeter. May actually have some use except filling a hole.
Managed to get enough of a charge on the battery at his house that I drove her home. No tow for me this time!
