True, the longer barrels don't tend to buck as much, especially if they are ported. If you ever to get your hands on a Deseert Eagle 44mag, you'll be be pleased with its moderate recoil. Its gas action absorbs a lot of it. Now, a 454 Casul is a different story. Fortunately, I got to shoot one and that convinced me not to buy one. Not plesant, even though it was ported. Hurt my poor little hand.
