Mikiec, that's a sure fire way to not get any more of Judy's excellent cookies. Watch it!

mikiec 03-02-2011 01:03 PM

Karl, I forgot about that.

Dave, tell Judy she has to stay home to bake COOKIES....

I just moved here (after selling my Backdraft) and really miss riding in a Cobra. Do any of you go solo and want/need a passenger? I can't make it this weekend, but I am just curious if anyone would mind giving me a Cobra "fix".

That would be Bob's boat and I think it would be a liquid lunch.

When you do lunch on the many trips you take I am guessing there is generally booze available, so how does that work when you drive the beasts isn't there a risk in driving being inebriated n'all, strike that, slightly tipsy, or do you wait around till its ok to drive?;)**)**):JEKYLHYDE:JEKYLHYDE

Speed doesn’t kill, it's the sudden stop that will get you every time... I have never known the Cobra group to drive drunk.. tipsy... but they do drive like Bob and that resembles the latter...

Bob Broberg SPF667 460BB 03-02-2011 10:27 PM

Brian's talkin about Bob Fitz not me. I'm innocent. Yup, pure as the snow. That's me.
I'm bringing a rider this trip. Newbee. Never been in a cobra. I told him to bring a change of underwear.

Fitz 03-02-2011 11:30 PM

Bob usually brings a sheep! Sometimes Karl; depends on the mood. Never drink and drive. Once in awhile I have a vacant seat for someone to ride. %/

Danr55 03-03-2011 05:02 AM

My passenger's seat is full this trip.. but I think I'm bringing a new guy with a new car. We'll see.

hinoonaz 03-03-2011 05:14 AM

I know the rules and if we show up we will be there. We are finally over the flu since superbowl!

Tin-Man,
The last time I had 2 drinks and got in the Cobra, I spun the rear end around on takeoff. Ended up facing the way I was coming from. Freaked me out. :JEKYLHYDE

Danr55 03-03-2011 09:43 AM

These cars will eat you alive if you don't always maintain the proper respect for them and thier power. That includes having all of your wits about you when you get behind the wheel. Even then, sometimes, they are dangerous. Most of us have seen at least one example of lack of attention when driving a Cobra. While it wasn't deadly, it was expensive.

mikiec 03-03-2011 10:39 AM

This on the same weekend:

Danr55 03-03-2011 12:08 PM

So Ralph, you're saying you'd rather play with your smoke pole than drive your cobra?

RedSnake351 03-03-2011 01:07 PM

No, haven't shot Muzzle loaders in over 20 years and didn't bring any down here. I only posted the event, which started yesterday, in case there were any members interested in going any other day than Saturday.
I will be at the meeting point Saturday morning.
Ralph

tin-man 03-04-2011 09:12 PM

Thanks for the feedback...........

I am glad to hear that my original observations of the Arizona Cobra members was correct being all "fine upstandin gents" who know when to drink and when to drive.

Cheers, John, AKA, tin-man:JEKYLHYDE
