Saturday March 5

Just looked at the weather forecast. It's supposed to be in the high 70's. Anyone interested in a run for lunch on Saturday? Maybe to Chalo's in Globe or to Catalina?

RedSnake351 02-28-2011 10:13 AM

For me, that looks real good right now.

Going to Rennasiance Faire that Saturday. Don't forget about the traffic if you guys go.

Lookin' good for me too ! No milk shakes though. That one at The Heart Attack Grill did me in. It took all afternoon to sleep it off.

Danr55 02-28-2011 04:32 PM

How about out B-Line to the Corner's then turn south toward Punkin Center and stop at Jakes Corners for a burger and a beverage?

That figures Mikie, whatcha gonna dress up as? Maybe like this guy? Maybe play your flute?

There are a whole lot of "front porches" to enjoy at the Rennasiance Festival. Always fun to look at the civilians that dress up like the workers. Can usually tell by the shoes. Workers don't wear sneakers. Remember that Mikie, so you don't get found out. Birkenstocks don't count, unless you're huggin a tree.

May be going to the Boat. If you guys want to stop by the G Dock and take a ride down to the boat; radio at side walk by parking lot ramp and call shuttle to pick you up and you are going to meet Bob Fitzgerald (they will ask you) "Fitzus" (to your left 3 slips facing out...on your left going out to the water.
Down at the dock there is an outside covered bar; order sandwich and restrooms. FYI
You drive right by the Marina if you continue onto Globe past Roosevelt Dam about 1 mile. Don't pay at the booth (I never said that)

I'll plan on it. Lunch on Dave's boat would be nice !

Bob Broberg SPF667 460BB 03-01-2011 09:33 AM

That would be Bob's boat and I think it would be a liquid lunch.

What is the time frame for this? I might postpone the Festival until Sunday. Jakes has good burgers.

Bob Broberg SPF667 460BB 03-01-2011 01:59 PM

So.....gather at Shea/Beeline gas station about 10am? Depart 10:30. 50 miles to Jakes Corner. East side guys can continue south to Globe or Fitz's Boat or back to Beeline.

Damn. Thought we were gonna be able to go. Have to go out to Queen Valley with the wife but we are gonna go to Chalo's for lunch.

mikiec 03-02-2011 06:59 AM

Let the wife go by herself. If she gets lost it's a few additional hours of peace and quiet.

Danr55 03-02-2011 12:54 PM

Mikie, If he let's her go somewhere, who's going to show him where to go? Karl?
