Memorial Day Weekend

Anyone interested in a run perhaps up Yarnell and into Sedona or Flagstaff for lunch that Sunday?

dave from mesa 05-10-2011 07:59 AM

Sorry Dan not us. Our daughter and son in law are going to be here then.

mikiec 05-10-2011 08:03 AM

Sounds good to me. That is if I have brake lights by then.

Dave. put your daughter in the pass seat and let Judy entertain the rest... LOL

Karl Bebout 05-12-2011 07:24 AM

Just watch, Danr will get people all stirred up for a run and then "have to work" or "go to San Diego" or some other flimsy excuse.

Danr55 05-12-2011 08:41 AM

Karl, I never had a "flimsy" excuse. All of my excuses were pretty solid. Besides, I want one more run before I decide whether or not to change this engine.

Finally gonna get some HP???:D

Danr55 05-12-2011 12:12 PM

Thinkin' about it.. Want to be able to do burn outs..

Karl Bebout 05-12-2011 02:48 PM

Danr, I could hook you up with a nice RAT motor, if you really want power and reliability, OR, you could always let go of a chunk of your money and put a nifty Keith Craft 427 SBF in. I am really impressed with those and even the mega-buck Roush engines, but since I'll never have more money than sense, I won't be getting one in my lifetime.

Scotchman 05-12-2011 06:44 PM

I'd like to do a run up north if it's under 15 mph wind factor. What about Pine and Strawberry ?

hinoonaz 05-12-2011 08:00 PM

Pine and Strawberry sounds good. Lets keep on going so I can stand on a corner in Winslow,AZ. Nevber been there. What size engine do you have now Dan?
Gary

Danr55 05-13-2011 06:12 AM

Gary, It's a 428 FE.

Pine and Stawberry would be fine for the east side boys but a long drive for the guys in the West. I just figured that since we went east last time, we'd go west next time. No biggie.. we can do Pine Strawberry for breakfast one day. That's usually our run to the Rimview Cafe.

mikiec 05-13-2011 07:56 AM

I'm out. Ginny has plans in San Diego that weekend.

Dan PM me Linda W's number.

Mike

I'd be up for the back road to Prescott as long as it doesn't get over 150 degrees by Memorial weekend. It's going to be cooler that trip than it would be to Payson. Besides, it's a more scenic and challenging. However, I'm up for any trip that will be cooler than down in the valley.

You can't go without Ginny??? and people say I am whipped.:LOL::LOL:

hinoonaz 05-13-2011 04:24 PM

Anything sounds good if not 110 out.

Danr55 05-18-2011 05:32 PM

Well, I'm not hearing a lot of hootin from the west side boys.. I guess the east siders are the only one's interested. How about we meet at the Shell station on Shea and Beeline Hwy Sat. morning about 7:30 for an 8:00 departure to Rimview Cafe in Pine for an extraordinary breakfast.

Scotchman 05-18-2011 08:10 PM

Sounds good

mikiec 05-19-2011 10:09 AM

Do you want me to get an email out to the gang?

Mike
