Ron, Not many of us think Karl will ever get his car back on the road. Figure he's skared of drivin now that he is very old. Yes, he is putting in an auto tranny, power steering, power brakes, power door locks, power windows, etc..

Tinny working for our economic enemy is the only job you very old guys can get.

And don't forget cruise control and the wing on the roll bar.

Karl Bebout 09-19-2011 08:52 AM

And the cup holders, AC, and killer stereo, heated seats, hard and soft top. All those things that keep a "sports car" from being a true "sports car".

BPWilliams 09-19-2011 10:06 AM

At least I put new tires on my car while it has been sitting in the garage for the past two years! Karl, do you even have a rolling chassis yet? You know the more junk you add to the car you might as well go buy a Corvette and just stick a knife in your Cobra dreams. You are a Chevy guy in Fords clothing anyway, right???

Danr55 09-19-2011 02:17 PM

Hey! Karl is my friend. Don't all you guys go blowin' smoke up his kilt because he is slightly impaired. He can't help if he prefers chevys. Hell, some folks are even democrats!

Karl Bebout 09-19-2011 02:39 PM

Danr, wash your mouth out!

csx4910 09-19-2011 04:32 PM

Tin Man - I daresay if you live in Sun City you have to be at least 55 which by definitiuon would make you an old fart. When you start receiving AARP (my wife has) and you can now order off the last page of the senior menu at Denny's (and be excited about) you are officially an old fart!:MECOOL:

csx4910 09-19-2011 04:34 PM

Chebby guys are tolerated but Liberal Democrats just aren't welcome!

Danr55 09-19-2011 05:19 PM

"Liberal Democrats" Ron, is there another kind that I am unaware of?

dave from mesa 09-19-2011 06:50 PM

Just to clarify Karl's post.
It's been at least 2 1/2 years not 1 1/2.
Actually I think it happened in 1995 but not sure.:D
Maybe it just seems that long.

BPWilliams 09-19-2011 07:15 PM

Hey I am a Chevy guy just like the next, but thought it might help Karl move faster (not that he is not fast when he has a working Cobra, maybe a little to fast?) But I was unaware that there were democrats here on this site...

mikiec 09-19-2011 08:12 PM

Karl is a Dem.? No wonder he is taking so long. He can't find anybody to pay for the repairs.

dave from mesa 09-19-2011 08:36 PM

Karl pays for repairs??????????
Damn!!!!

Karl Bebout 09-19-2011 09:09 PM

Brian, Like the base color! Doesn't look like you've been swapping any paint yet. You're gonna cry the first time it kisses the wall. I would. Very nice!

BPWilliams 09-19-2011 10:00 PM

Thanks Karl, it was built to swap paint so I am OK with it. I thought you would like the color.. so how far out are you really?

Tinny working for our economic enemy is the only job you very old guys can get.

Mikie, our collective economic enemy as you state are the bozos that are supposed to represent us in the congress and senate. If those diqueheads could ever make up their minds and support the citizens of the USA without first considering what's in it for themselves, or posturing and giving sound bites, we would be the strongest economy in the world.

Anyway, let me may this perfectly clear, I do not work for our economic enemy, what I do is to build factories for any multination company that wants to establish a footprint in China to reduce their operating costs. The majority of the companies I have worked with are USA based, the current one, is a Japanese American conglomerate.

So now on to the defining thrust of this post:what constitutes you very old guys, please define and be very specific.

tin-man:cool

mikiec 09-20-2011 08:55 AM

Very very old guys.... Guys older than Karl.

Tinny, as far as China goes.... I blame Nixon.

dave from mesa 09-20-2011 01:38 PM

There's guy older than Karl??????

csx4910 09-20-2011 03:21 PM

#1 I don't think anyone is older than Karl although there are planty of you that aren't far behind him
#2 BP that is a nice ride even for a chevy
#3 Anyone older than me is a really old guy although there are some day I feel 25 years older than I am(just about every morning I get up) It isnt the age, its the Mileage! Just out of curiousity, we have anyone in our group besides me out there that isn't old enough to qualify for AARP?
