Mulv, you did go about it the spendy way. You seemed happy with the shop that did all of your build and then just sold the car.

Mikie, 68 Camero is sweet, wish I still had my last 69. The 383 is more cubes but less desirable rod/crank ratio. 383 uses a 400 crank so now balance becomes external and needs 400 dampener and flywheel. The 400 crank from GM is not known to be ... great so aftermarket is much better. The 400 block has issues and push the build toward 350 block and 350 rods with custom pin location pistons yada Ada Ada. I have grenaded all of them over the years. Much like saying blonde's or redheads are best. It just comes down to what you want to spend your own money on. Each are a lot of fun to ride either way. choice. Jeff C

PS... I like blonde's and the 377 better. You can buy recip. assembly kits for each with good parts. Jeff C
