New guy looking for a Cobra project!

Hello to all,
I am new to the Cobra and trying to learn as quickly as I can.I have loved/admired the Cobra ever since my Dad started talking about the Cobra,Meadow-dale race track, and Mr. Penskie when he was a kid back in the 50's.
Looking for for some help in finding a project Cobra that either is unfinished or in need of TLC.Some of the Cobra's I have come across on Ebay and other sites are high end Cobra's and like most of the people I associate with are on a budget, girlfriend,or wife and try to keep the Peace ha ha. I do respect all the Cobra's I come across and no Cobra will go unseen or unheard. Again this is my first try at buying a Cobra and understand there are a lot of beautiful Cobra's out there. Some I could only dream of and some that are dream makers, could you help.I will leave you with numbers and an E-mail. I would like to keep the budget number out for the time as to not offend anyone.
Thank you all again,
Bryan

What is your budget like?

Matt has one that he is trying to sell. http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/clas...ject-sale.html

I thank you Sir for the information, that is exactly what I am looking for. I will call Mr. Matt and we will go from there.

Sir, my budget has some variations depending on the kit, what has been completed and low/high end parts. Mr. Matt's car is perfect for my start.

Your request and your response is far too vague to reasonably assist you in your search. The reason you should add a budgetary range to your "project wanted" post is to allow us to assist you properly. If you have a maximum of 15K, 30K, or 100K it makes a difference as to what we may be able to help you find. Again not to sound harsh, but without knowing your budget there really is no way to assist you other than to blindly post what we see online (but not those being sold off line via word of mouth through local club monthly meetings and such only), which you can easily do for yourself. With posts just like yours showing up more and more these days, it's helpful to those of us here to know exactly what you have in mind as everyones idea of a "project" is different.

Regardless, welcome to Clubcobra, let the madness begin

I would like to say thanks to all on this site for helping. I am the proud owned of a 1966 Cobra my first. With some luck, help from the guy's (Mr. Bob,Jeff,Bruce,Don just to name a few) and experience, I will start to earn a placement with the guy's in the Arizona Cobra Club. I thank everyone out at the car show for the info, the knowledge , and there time.

I enjoyed meeting you and your new Cobra last night. You did very well for yourself, a nice professional looking car.

Here is to many years of pure automotive enjoyment. :D

Bryan, it was a pleasure talking "cobra" with you Sat night. Congrats on your new Classic cobra with Windsor motor and T-5. Nice colors too, just like mine. You have many years of enjoyment and tinkering ahead of you but don't forget to drive it. Join us on Tues or Sat on our cruise meetings, on our weekend trips and Sat or Sun runs. Provided you can put up with us old farts.

Ditto to what Bob says. Congrats on the new ride. Tell us more about it? Did you buy it local? When was it built, etc etc.
