Cigars for Soldiers
This Saturday, Nov. 3 there will be a car show along with free drinks and food in Ahwahtukee. Money will be raised by raffles to send cigars to soldiers in bases throughout the world. The cars act as an attraction to get people there so they might buy raffle tickets to win goods donated by local businesses. There is NO REGISTRATION FEE, you just show up and it goes from noon to 3pm. I talked to Don Benjamin, the organizer and he said it would be great if some Cobras showed up. They're expecting maybe 50 cars. Free drinks and food will follow the show and go until 8pm.
The Tinder Box Cigar Shop is working with Cigars for Soldiers to send cigars to the troops. Sounds like fun to me and the forecast is sunny with a high of 84 (perfect). I'll be there smokin' a cigar or two and checkin' out the cars.
