UPdate reporting from beautiful downtown Kilgore Texas: The block is in work, the pistons will be completed and deliverd on Monday, 4/14. Engine should be together and back to Charlie by 4/18 and I should be able to pick it up on 4.29 when I get back from across the pond. I believe we can do this.

Don't pull a Fitz and run it on a dyno until it puts a rod through the block. Oh wait...you probably didn't use truck rods, as I heard his "engine builder" did.

I just talked with Charile and he tells me that the motor is in and running strong. Should be a good trip.

Karl or anyone else.. I think I'm going to be sick a couple of days next week. Wanna take a ride?

Excellent news, Danr! Tell us about the engine. Did you go with a bunch of new parts or were you lucky enough to be able to reuse components from your old engine? I'm sure a little JB Weld would have done wonders.

Great news Dan. Those FE motors can put out a lot of hp/torque and sound good. See you Friday.

How wonderful Dan. I'll bet you can't wait for the 66 trip. If you lead we'll try to keep you in the distance. I could bring my dB meter and see how much louder Karl is.

I will try hard not to break it again,, I have not doubt that Karlos is still louder.. Much Louder.. and can be used for blowing debris off of your driveway..

I've been making the loop from 202 to 60W to 101N to 202E and back home each night. It's about a 35 mile trip. Combined with the mileage the Charlie put on it over the weekend, I should have about 250 miles on it when I change oil on Thursday nite. Not a lot, but if I'm careful, it should be enough. We know I'm always careful... or something.

thanks Mike. I didn't understand what you were asking. My original plan was to take Thursday and Friday off and go for a run on thursday. That has changed. Since I can't get out on Thursday, I'm just making the loop each night.. You're welcome to come along if you'd like to.

OK, I'm on a project at home on friday. Have a safe trip and be sure to not over rev on your cruise up north.
