Bbbbbbbad to the bone
As George Troroughgood sang: "I make an old woman blush, I make a young girl squeal". Well, this 66 year old geezer DID make a young girl squeal! Took this beautiful, 6' tall, blonde, very toned from 6 years or rowing in an 8 man crew, young lady for a Cobra ride this morning, before the temperatures got toasty. Drove about 12 miles to meet up with Superstition Bill and while we waited for him, I asked her if she'd like to drive. She flatly refused until I told her of all the cred she'd have with her Mustang tracking boyfriend. That did the trick and she decided to drive. Got her instructed on how to operate the manual shift, four speed automatic, and off we went. I knew she had plenty of muscle for my non-power steering and she did just fine. All smiles but by the time we got a little ways into the mountains, and stopped in Superior, she gave me the keys. The turn in came a little quicker than she'd anticipated and she really had to use her muscles to miss the curb. I was glad of that. On the way back was when the squealing took place. Getting on a wide open section of freeway, I cranked it up to 120. Then a few miles later, had an empty section of four lane surface street where I launched hard, ran up to 5K in 1st and 2nd before letting off. This was where the extreme excitement came to pass. This was the same girl that used to fall asleep while riding in my Cobra, 15 years ago. Her head was just above the door and the wind hitting her right in the face made her close her eyes, and then...nap time. She is my grandaughter, from Jacksonville FL here on a visit and she now has something to tell her friends about. I even took some videos, of her driving, as proof. Gdaddy was OK today.
