Pete, here is a quote from Danr:

It looks like we'll leave the Standard Station at Idaho rd. and US 60 about 8:00 AM on Saturday. Meet any Tuscon crew at Apache Gold at 9:00 to 9:30. Leave Apache Gold at 9:30 and stop in Morenci about 11:00 or so. that should put us at Hannigan Meadow between 12:30 and 1:00 for lunch.

Everybody have a safe and fun time.

Danr55 09-07-2014 05:12 PM

We will and not a show shovel in sight! Travel safely, Mikie..

Karl Bebout 09-12-2014 12:43 PM

So Danr,

How many making the run tomorrow?

DrDuc 09-12-2014 04:21 PM

Hi all,
I have to go out of town this weekend ( and unfortunately not with you all) so will not make the run. Have fun!

Bruce

Karl Bebout 09-12-2014 04:41 PM

Dan, didja cancel your motel reservation?

Pmiller176 09-12-2014 04:57 PM

guys, whatcha think about the weather forecast? Looks like we might get wet?

Scotchman 09-12-2014 06:11 PM

I'm still going. Got drenched a couple years ago, and it's probably the most memorable ride I've ever been on. I'm planning on getting wet at Happy Hour with a stogie and some music ( save Sugar Man ) Eric Clapton's Tribute to JJ Cale !

Danr55 09-12-2014 06:16 PM

It depends on where you look, 30% chance in one weather guesser and 10% in the next one, Trust me you won't melt.

Karl. That was Bruce who canceled not Dan, I know you are getting used to me can telling but not this time,

Bob Broberg SPF667 460BB 09-12-2014 06:28 PM

Leaving for Casa de Dan & Adriana in about 30 minutes. Looking forward to a fun weekend of sun. It's not going to rain where we go. I made arrangements.

Where's the meet up place and time?

ffr 1137 09-12-2014 06:43 PM

...BTsnake knows about driving in the rain in these cars don't ya Hersh. We had some fun didn't we! Got caught in a real "toad strangler" in Vail, Colo. coming back from spring fling in '01. Probably the worst downpour either of us had ever been in, and we've both done time across the pond.

Danr, sorry. I knew that DrDuc was Bruce. I was just so used to you being the one bailing out on things, it just slipped out.

I got into a belly-whomper last Satufday night and didn't like it so much, but figureing if it actually does rain, it'll be long after we've landed in Springerville and will have the car cover on. I've got holes drilled in my foot boxes for a reason. Just packed some ziplock bags for my hearing aids, GPS, and cell phone. Taking a water "resistant" hooded wind breaker, so I've prepared mind and body, just in case all the time I spent this week cleaning the pimp-ho-gold will need to be redone.

Is the Standard station also known as Chevron?

Danr55 09-12-2014 09:52 PM

Yes Dan. It is actually a Chevron.

DrDuc 09-12-2014 10:37 PM

Yes, Karl, I cancelled my room. If you need one it should now be available. Have fun! Drive "wisely". (Whatever that means to you).

Pmiller176 09-13-2014 05:36 AM

Thanks for arranging the dry weather Bob. This man thinks and takes care of everything!

See y'all at 0800
