Nice, just what he said he wanted.
Congrats Karl.....
Now how about some details.

I've heard that "timing is everything" and it definitely was in this case. I'd been looking for either a slabside or a 289FIA. I was ready to buy a scratch built carbon fiber bodied car but that car became unavailable, the black ERA in San Diego I liked got sold before I could act on it but fortunately, VERY fortunately, Dennis May decided he was ready to move on to the next car on his bucket list. I could not pass it up. The perfect maker(ERA), the perfect body style (289FIA), a SWEET 347 with Webers, Jag IRS, true knock off wheels, great workmanship and detail on the assembly, located in the valley, nice, nice, nice! This car rides so much better than my old car, that my wife even said she'd like to drive it. (She wouldn't touch the other car.)

Now that the weather is totally titttts up, why aren't people talking about taking runs? Waiting for 190*?

Nice Car Karl

Sweet ride Karl. Dennis built a perfect specimen. You've got to know he didn't skimp anywhere. Great car. Good luck. See you December 6th.

Just keep Dennis away from the car, he may want it back. You scored a fantastic car. As Bob said, Dennis did not skimp on that car.

Sounds like all the stars aligned for you Karl.
I bet you are one happy camper now and you deserve it.
Now put a ride together and lets go......

mikiec 10-28-2014 09:16 PM

There is a run here next weekend. You should be able to drive it here in time.

skullandbones 10-28-2014 09:58 PM

Congrats, Karl! You moved on that pretty quickly. Enjoy.

WEK.

DrDuc 10-28-2014 11:36 PM

Great looking car, Karl. But a very bland color for you! Enjoy!

Danr55 10-29-2014 06:14 AM

Nice is the only word that comes to mind. Adjectives like extremely and very fit in there as well. I'm happy for you.. One question... Does this mean that the Anniversary party is at Karl's?

mikiec 10-29-2014 07:10 AM

Now that's funny.

Karl Bebout 10-29-2014 07:19 AM

You'll have to ask Dennis about the party. Ratti-Dan, maybe I'm getting a little subdued in my golden years? Of course I could get the knock off spinners powder coated pimp-ho-gold, in remembrance.

Pmiller176 10-29-2014 07:34 AM

good on ya Karl, will be great to see you back in action again!

Karl Bebout 10-29-2014 07:40 AM

I was happy to see that I still have my clutch skills. Didn't stall or ride the clutch even once. Not saying it won't happen, just that it hasn't yet. LONG time since I've driven a stick.

Scotchman 10-29-2014 08:10 AM

I'll always think of you as Copper Queen Karl. Little did I know that break we took at the copper mine would be the last time I'd ever see that bad a$$ car.

Cobrakeith 10-29-2014 10:06 AM

I see you have finally seen the light! Welcome to the ranks of 289 FIA drivers. Very nice car Karl!:JEKYLHYDE

I dunno, Karl with a Kobra that can't pull the front wheels.....Just seems wrong.

Congrats man, that is a sweet ride.
