There is no way they can rebuild that car and make money off of it.

I expect their show is more about the entertainment factor than about the profitability of any particular car (even though that's the purported theme).

And a show about rebuilding the Iron Man car should be entertaining.

Oh yeah, how do you spell product placement?

They will just do a bagger suspension, and clear coat the existing paint and make a bundle.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I wouldn't let those idiots work on a bicycle. Gas Monkey Garage, it's more like a Monkey trying to f_ _ k a football, watching THEM PRETEND TO BE RESTORERS.

It's a show, they get paid by the producers, to restore cars, I highly doubt they use any of their own money, advertisers pay the bills, the producers take the ad money and give it to those losers.

I'm sure the car will look like a million dollars, until, you look closely.

They will not only rebuild it but they will do it in 72 hrs. Lol
Movie TV magic. :p

DING! DING ! DING! We have a winner!

Oh, wait, some of you thought that TV sh!te was real!?!? Entertainment people, reality is what greets you when you open the front door in the morning...............

A byproduct of them rebuilding it, if they in fact do complete it, is free advertising for Kirkham and Cobras in general. Heck, they might even invite David and Sandwich on to the show.

It'll have to be after Kirkham's anniversary celebration this year though, that's much more important.

It's also going to drive up the asking prices for anything Cobra thru the roof and all kind of cars will suddenly become "Kirkham Cobras used in the Ironman Movie".

Just saw posting from new york guy where the crushed Iron Man cobra donated to Super Hero museum

I think the owner was very smart. Getting a huge tax deduction for his "historic and artistic" vehicle will surely gain him much more at the end of the day than if he'd put a ton into restoring it.

keezling 05-12-2015 07:15 AM

I wonder if his ears were ringing. Movie studios trash cars, and CC trashes people. Two constants in an ever changing universe LOL...

Danr55 05-12-2015 07:32 AM

Attitude detected. Attitude detected.. alarm.. alarm.. Someone's pouting.. Ha Ha Ha..

Karl Bebout 05-12-2015 08:23 AM

Now, I think, my feelings are hurt! Envy is one of the seven deadly sins and I was being envious of the owner for:
1, being smart enough to turn a sow's ear into a silk purse,
2, being smart enough to come up with a way of keeping a goodly chunk of change out of our wasteful government's pockets, and
3, having the money and huevos to buy the wreck, initially.

Keezling, you must be just sooooo thenthitive.

keezling 05-12-2015 09:36 AM

The guy guzzles beer, has a wad of cash to spend, does what he loves. O.K., I hate him too!!

Karl Bebout 05-12-2015 12:24 PM

We haters gotta hate!

Like the scorpion and the frog, its our nature.

GMG paid over $24,000 for that crushed cobra. The museum stated the donation was worth $75,000. INTERESTING.

I think GMG bought, paid big money for a Pantera at that BJ auction. They also bid on the Two Lane Blacktop '55 chevy.
