Concours @ Fountain Hills
February 7th, by the lake at Fountain Hills, will be a splendid car show, if its like last year's. Its free for spectators but a bit pricey to enter. MANY high dollar cars will be on display. If there was one, there was at least 50 Ferraris last year as well as bunches of Porschs, Lambos, Maseratis, Jags, Vettes, and Ron's old Cobra, amongst others. Great way to spend a sunny Saturday afternoon.

To the top. Today's going to be a wonderful day to walk around and drool over bunches of sweet machinery. Outstanding weather and hard to find a nicer venue. And FREE!

Drew and I went to the show. It was a perfect day. Saw about six or seven Cobras including Karl's beauty parked by the All American Sports Grill.
Drew loved the Enzo and really any car ending with an I. There was lots of beauty's to look at.
Let me tell you, if you never saw the Fountain at the park, it's quite the sight as well.
Cheers all.

Dave, glad you got to the show. For me, it was sensory overload. I drooled so much I was afraid I'd become dehydrated. Couldn't have been a nicer day. I noticed a lot more Maseratis this year but maybe that's because there's a local dealer now. I didn't see Ron's Cobra so I wonder if he took just his #x#x#x HP Porsche of maybe couldn't make the show. I didn't recognize any of the Cobras there, except the NAF right in front of the DJ stage. Pretty sure that was Bill D'Apuzzo's relative's. (borther? brother-in-law?) Had a fairly good lunch at the All American Sports Bar. They were certainly overwhelmed so the wait was long and the service slow. We'd eaten there at last year's show so weren't surprised. I felt the show was much bigger this year. Lots more cars, lots more people. Thought the layout could have been better to have made seeing everything easier. We'll be going again next year.

I agree on the layout, it was choppy at best. Also, taking pictures would have been a lot easier if the cars parked the opposite way. Seemed like every photo I took from the front of a car , I was looking right into the sun.
I talked to a couple cobra parked right in the middle, they were nice, said Bob Bounderant came over and chatted with them when the show first started. Bob told them his favorite car to race was a cobra powered by a small block. I asked if the knew what CSX number he liked best, but they didn't know.
Drew and I had a nice lunch at the sports grill too, little wait, under staffed, but a good burger and iced tea made up for it.
We will be back next year too!

It was my 1st year to the show, and I really enjoyed the selection of cars displayed, from brand new to old vintage. Beautiful weather too. There were 2 old cars I use to have models of , a 2002 BMW, and a Triumph Mark3. No wait at Phil's Filling Station for lunch. Did any of you see the black Ferrari that hopped the curb at Shea and Fountain Hills Blvd ? I think he was in a rush to get to the show, ouch !

Yes, that was my brother's NAF at the Fountain Hills car show. Great bunch of cars. BTW, Karl, since you had one, can you tell me where the brake and clutch reservoirs are on the NAF. Looked every where except where it is.

Bill, my reservoirs were mounted right up on the firewall, with hoses running down to the master cylinders. My brake pedal was overhead mount with the masters down low on the bay side of the football. With remote reservoirs, they could be mounted about anywhere, although I have no idea why anyone would not put them where they would be easily accessible.

Thanks Karl, but that's the first place we looked. We're just going to have to put the car on a lift to see where the lines lead to. I just can't believe that the reservoir would be under the car, but we'll find out.
Thanks again for the response.

Found the clutch/brake reservoirs under the driver's side floor board on The NAF, A very cool setup.

Under the floorboards...Doesn't sound to great to me. Sounds dangerous. If you hit a bump you can take them out.

Let me rephrase what I meant. There's a compartment between the floorboard and the carpet on the driver's side. Sorry for the misunderstanding. With that note I think I'll start closing my house windows. It's going to drop down to the low 70s by 4:00pm.
