Jim B is in the hospital.

Jim suffered a massive heart attack yesterday. He will be in the hospital for the next few days. 100% blockage in one artery and 85% in another. The Dr's have put in one stent and may do the other in a few days.

He is in Boswell on Grand Ave.

Jim this is no way to get attention. Get well quickly.

mikiec 03-25-2015 06:40 AM

Jim is getting released today. They will be doing another stent in 30 days.

The new warden (Carolyn) will be tough.

Danr55 03-25-2015 08:43 AM

Carolyn, tough? Get some girl. Now is your chance to get even. I suggest playing Jim's favorite hip hop tunes really loud.

mikiec 03-25-2015 09:44 AM

She could activate the De-Fib vest when he starts acting up.

10 years ago yesterday, I had "the big one" as Redd Foxx used to call it. 100% sudden blockage of the left anterior desending artery, commonly called "the widow maker" because only about 3% struck this way, survive. Sure gave me a different perspective on life. Hang in there Jim, 'taint easy, 'taint fun, but living is pretty much worth the effort.

vettestr 03-25-2015 07:39 PM

Karlos, What was your epiphany? Did it change as time went by?
Glad you beat the 3% for sure! Jeff C

john chesnut 03-25-2015 08:01 PM

Karlos, That is EXACTLY what happened to me. I just passed the 1 year mark. You're 10 years gives me hope.

Take care of yourself.

Ain't it the truth, Karlos. 1996 for me, quad bi-pass, 90% blocked, 53 yrs old.
My "epiphany" was my wife (nurse) throwing holy water on me as they wheeled me into the operating room!, me yelling at the staff to "get this woman to the waiting room, please!" Quit smoking that day also. I figured I wanted to be around to see my son graduate, marry and make me a grandpa.
It was worth it...

mikiec 03-26-2015 07:39 AM

Jim, I know your are reading. Take heart and work hard on getting better.
